About This Event
The 2026 Palmetto Sportsmen’s Classic returns to the South Carolina State Fairgrounds in Columbia, SC, from March 27–29, 2026. Presented by the South Carolina Department of Natural Resources (SCDNR) and the Harry R. E. Hampton Memorial Fund, this annual event celebrates the state’s love for the outdoors through hands-on experiences, educational exhibits, and exciting live demonstrations.
As one of the Southeast’s premier outdoor shows, the Palmetto Sportsmen’s Classic brings together hunters, anglers, campers, and outdoor enthusiasts for three days of family-friendly fun. The event highlights South Carolina’s outdoor heritage and promotes responsible conservation and stewardship.
What to Expect
- Exhibits & Vendors: Explore hundreds of booths featuring the latest hunting gear, fishing tackle, boats, ATVs, and outdoor lifestyle products.
- Live Demonstrations: Watch expert seminars, wildlife demonstrations, and special events such as the popular DockDogs® Canine Aquatic Competition and the “Hawg Trough” 5,000-gallon fish tank show.
- Interactive Experiences: The SCDNR Aquatic Education Pond gives kids the chance to catch their first fish, while outdoor safety and skills sessions offer hands-on learning for all ages.
- Conservation & Education: Learn from SCDNR experts about wildlife management, boating safety, and outdoor ethics.

Admission & Attendance
More than 35,000 attendees are expected to visit over the weekend. Admission and parking are affordable, with children 12 and under often admitted free.
